BREAKING: KSP confirms a fourth suspect arrested in case of missing 8-month-old girl

DAVIESS COUNTY, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – Kentucky State Police have confirmed that troopers have arrested a fourth suspect in the case of a missing 8-month-old girl.

KSP have arrested 49-year-old Billie J. Smith with an Assault 2nd Degree – Domestic Violence warrant.

Smith is currently being held in the Ohio County Detention Center.

She was arrested after Troopers conducted a search and welfare check for the missing eight-month old when they discovered Mrs. Smith had an active warrant.

Tesla Tucker, Cage Rudd and Ricky Smith are to appear in Ohio County District Court in Hartford tomorrow at 9 a.m.

UPDATE JUNE 7,2024:

Kentucky State Police have confirmed to ABC36 News Now that troopers have arrested a third suspect in the case of a missing 8-month-old girl.

KSP  tells us 56-year old Ricky Jeff Smith is behind bars at the Daviess County Detention Center. Smith is facing 13 charges, including Criminal Abuse 1st Degree-Child 12 or Under.

He was arrested and charged on June 5th, two days ago.

This is a developing story, which we’ll update as we learn more details of the investigation into the disappearance of little Miya Tucker.

 

ORIGINAL STORY:

REYNOLDS STATION, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – In Ohio County, the search continues for a missing baby following the arrest of her parents on child abuse and drug charges. According to Kentucky State Police, eight-month-old Miya Tucker was reported missing during a welfare check at a home in Reynolds Station.

Investigators indicate that she was last believed to be in the care of her mother, 29-year-old Tesla Tucker, and 30-year-old Cage Rudd. Authorities are urging anyone with information that could aid in the search for the baby to contact Kentucky State Police.

Meanwhile, Tesla Tucker and Cage Rudd were arrested on Thursday and are now facing charges of child abuse and abandonment of a minor. Additionally, they are charged with drug offenses for the alleged possession of fentanyl and methamphetamine. If you have any information, please reach out to the authorities.
