BREAKING: Actor Burt Reynolds dies at 82

HOLLYWOOD, Calif. (WTVQ) – Burt Reynolds, the charismatic star of such films as “Deliverance,” “The Longest Yard” and “Smokey and the Bandit,” has died.

Reynolds died Thursday morning at Jupiter Medical Center in Florida, according to his manager, Erik Kritzer.

According to TMZ, he was transported the hospital after going into cardiac arrest. His family was by his side when he passed.

Reynolds had heart problems for years, undergoing major heart surgery in February 2010.

Reynolds received an Oscar nomination when he portrayed porn director Jack Horner in Paul Thomas Anderson’s Boogie Nights and was the number one box-office attraction for a five-year stretch starting in the late 1970s.
