Break-In At Liquor Store Doesn’t Pay Off For Crook
A break-in at a liquor store in Lexington didn’t really pay off for a suspect, according to police.
Police said someone smashed the front window of Up in Smoke Liquor and Tobacco on New Circle at 1:30 a.m. Wednesday and went inside.
That suspect made off with items from the store but police believe because officers responded so quickly, the thief didn’t have time to get everything into the getaway car.
Police said they found most of the stolen items near the store.
They are still searching for the suspect.
