BPD: Man cooked, sold meth at car wash

BARBOURVILLE, Ky. (WTVQ) – Barbourville Police say 47-year old Eddie Gray of Barbourville was cooking and selling meth out of a pickup truck in a car wash bay just off of 25E. Investigators say it all began Saturday morning when officers responded to a suspicious vehicle complaint at the car wash.

Officers say when they arrived, they found a recently finished one-step methamphetamine cook inside a 1993 Ford pickup truck. Investigators say they think Gray was selling his just finished product to walk-up customers in the car wash bay where he was found.

Police say a search of Gray and his pickup led to the discovery of methamphetamine, methamphetamine precursors, drug paraphernalia and heroin. Gray’s pickup was impounded and he was lodged in the Knox County Jail.
