Boyle County schools cleared following bomb threat

BOYLE COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – Students at Boyle County Schools were forced to leave school temporarily on Wednesday while police did a bomb check.

Boyle County Schools posted on its Facebook page that, at around 1:50 p.m., Danville Police informed them there was a bomb threat in the community.

The district says, as a safety precaution, school officials and local law enforcement conducted a fire drill so that the schools could be evacuated and a thorough sweep of school buildings could be done.

The schools were given an “all clear” a short time later.

There was no direct threat toward Boyle County Schools, according to the district.
