Boy battling cancer rocks GPD Obstacle Course

GEORGETOWN, Ky. (WTVQ)- A young boy battling cancer got the chance to hang out with police officers and run through a special obstacle course.

On Saturday, 6 year-old Cade Slone joined the Georgetown Police Department in a rigorous work out and according to officers there, he “rocked” the course like a “beast”.

Cade and his brother Colin were awarded the Mighty GPD Challenge Coin after completing the course and Cade was also the recipient of the “Top Guts Award.”

Cade was recently diagnosed with Ewing’s Sarcoma.

Ewing’s Sarcoma is a type of cancer that most often occurs in and around the bones.
