Bourbon County officials offer help for mailboxes damaged during road clearing

BOURBON COUNTY, KY. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – As crews continue working to clear roads following winter weather, Bourbon County officials say damaged mailboxes have become a common issue and are offering residents a solution.

According to county officials, residents who live on a county road and have had their mailbox damaged should contact the Bourbon County Judge’s Office.

Those who live along a state-maintained road are instructed to contact the District Seven office instead.

Officials ask residents reporting damage to leave their name, phone number, and address.

The Bourbon County Fiscal Court says the county road department will begin repairing or replacing damaged mailboxes once weather conditions improve and roads are fully cleared.
