Bourbon County awarded emergency road money

PARIS, Ky. (WTVQ) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet announced Wednesday that Bourbon County will receive $80,900 in County Road Aid emergency funds.

The money will be used for bridge work on Hawkins Cummins Road (CR 1316) located 0.721 mile northwest of US 460 over Copper Run Creek (C00048N). The project length
is 0.04 of a mile.

“These emergency funds are being used to repair roadways and to improve safety and mobility in Bourbon County,” said acting Transportation Secretary Mike Hancock.

The project will make travel safer for cars, school busses and other vehicles that rely upon the roadway in the county.

Bourbon County is responsible for administering the work.
