Bottle of water & t-shirt leads to burglary arrest

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Thirst may have gotten the best of one man.

19-year-old Rodney Thacker is charged with second-degree burglary.

Court documents say he went into a garage attached to a home on Bittersweet Way in Lexington on August 25th and took a bottle of water from the refrigerator.

Documents say a security camera caught it all.

Police say they were able to track down Thacker because he was wearing a “Willie’s Locally Known” shirt and distinctive bright red shoes.

Detectives showed the surveillance picture to someone who worked at “Willie’s Locally Known” and they identified Thacker as a former employee who often wore the bright red shoes to work.
