UPDATE: Bones found in Jessamine County

JESSAMINE COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ)- Bones were found in the trash of a loading dock behind a building in Jessamine County on Friday.

Deputy Coroner Len Kirschbaum of Jessamine County didn’t know immediately if the bones were from a human or animal, but he said they definitely were not from an infant.  He also said some of the bones appeared to be missing.

The coroner says the bones were found by the groundskeeper at 201 1st Street around 2:30 p.m. in Nicholasville.

They were sent to the State Medical Examiner’s Office in Frankfort for identification.

UPDATE 3/17/18: After examination, the bones were found to be of an animal.
