Boil water advisory put out for parts of Lancaster

LANCASTER, Ky. (WTVQ)- The City of Lancaster says a boil water advisory is in effect after a waterline/ hydrant leak. The city says it affects people who live in the south end and east side of Lancaster.

The city has some instructions for customers and says, “Remember (to) bring your water to a rolling boil, then boil for 5 minutes, then cool before using. This is water from the tap that you would use for drinking, making ice, washing dishes, brushing teeth and preparing food.”
