Boil water advisory issued for Rockcastle County

UPDATE: (6/7/18, 3:36 p.m.) — Kentucky American Water says the boil water advisory has been lifted.

ROCKCASTLE COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – Some customers of Kentucky American Water in Rockcastle County are under a boil water advisory.

The boil water advisory impacts about 80 customers and was issued after a contractor hit a water main owned operated by the City of Mount Vernon, according to Kentucky American Water.

Kentucky American purchases water from the City of Mount Vernon’s water system for a portion of its customers.

The advisory will remain in effect until further notice.
