Boil Water Advisory For Parts Of Powell County
A boil water advisory was issued on Monday, October 7th for customers of the Powell Valley Water District in Powell County.
Water officials said a leak was discovered in a line of the Beechfork water plant, which is the supplier for the area.
Water officials said the leak was repaired around 9:30 a.m. on Monday, but that the boil water advisory would still be in effect until water samples come back from the state.
Customers should boil all water to be used for cooking and drinking for at least three minutes until further notice.
