Body of missing Lexington teen found in Harrison County; search continues for second teen
HARRISON COUNTY, Ky. (ABC 36 NEWS NOW) — The Harrison County Coroner’s Office has confirmed that the body found Saturday night in the 1400 block of Russell Cave Road is that of 16-year-old Ali Haider Naqvi, one of two Lexington teenagers reported missing since May 11.
Naqvi and 15-year-old Aoun Ismail Basboos were last seen entering the back seat of a white 2020 Acura ILX with Kentucky license plate N9D006 around 5:50 p.m. on May 11, shortly after a shots-fired incident on Spangler Drive in Lexington . The vehicle was later located at Loradale Market on Russell Cave Road in Fayette County on May 15.
The search for Basboos continues, and authorities believe he may be in imminent danger. Basboos is described as 5 feet 7 inches tall, weighing 130 pounds, with a scar on his right arm. He was last seen wearing a red jacket.
Multiple agencies, including the FBI, Kentucky State Police, and Homeland Security Investigations, are involved in the ongoing investigation.
