UPDATE: Body found in Elliott Co. identified and ruled homicide

UPDATE: 4:55 PM 5/10/18- According to the Elliot County Coroner, the body found by a man looking for mushrooms has been identified.

30 year-old Justin Noad was found with multiple gunshot wounds, so the death is being ruled as a homicide.

At this time there are no suspects or leads.

ELLIOTT COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – A man looking for mushrooms came across a body instead in Elliott County.

The Elliott County Sheriff’s Department says that discovery has led to a murder investigation.

The body was found under the ledge of a waterfall on Tuesday evening.

The death appears to be a homicide, and the body had been there for several days, according to the sheriff.

The gender of the victim has not been released.
