Body found in creek believed to be missing Laurel County man

LONDON, Ky. (WTVQ) – The sheriff’s office in Laurel County has found a dead body believed to be a missing Laurel County man.

The Laurel County Sheriff’s Office says it found a body in a creek about a mile from Tony Gibson’s house.

The 53-year-old Gibson was last seen on Wednesday off Johnson Road in London.

The sheriff’s office says an autopsy will be done in Frankfort Monday to confirm the body does belong to Gibson.
