Remains identified as Florence man missing more than a month
WINCHESTER, Ky. (AP/WTVQ) – State Police say remains found Friday in Clark County have been positively identified as a missing Florence man.
Investigators say the remains were identified as those of 38-year-old Robert “Bobby” Jones.
Jones was identified through dental records. Police say additional testing will be used to try to determine an exact cause of death.
Jones and his girlfriend, 35-year-old Crystal Warner, both of Florence, went missing July 3. Police say the search for Warner continues.
Last month, 52-year-old Craig Pennington of Springfield was indicted on two counts of murder and other charges, including kidnapping, tampering with evidence, theft, terroristic threatening, abuse of a corpse and menacing.
