Bluegrass State Games Turn 30!
The Bluegrass State Games turn 30 this year.
A big feat for the Commonwealth that really means a lot for amateur athletics across the state.
Roughly 15,000 participants in a variety of sports take the the field and/or court each year. In all, that means close to $7 million in economic impact according to Governor Steve Beshear.
It’s the largest amateur event in the state and it’s somewhat of an institution now here in Central Kentucky and also something Governor Beshear feels the need to rally behind.
