Bluegrass Hospitality Association to recognize members during livestream

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – The Bluegrass Hospitality Association (BHA) is kicking off the month of June by recognizing its members.

Winners of the BHA Lifesaver Award will be acknowledged on Facebook Live on Tuesday, June 1 between 3 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. on the organization’s Facebook page.

“We’re excited to recognize those members of our respective teams who have played an integral role in helping us survive and maintain our customer service and quality standards throughout a very difficult pandemic year,” said Pam Avery, President of BHA.

Over 20 nominations were sent in from hoteliers, venues and attractions to be considered for the BHA Lifesaver Award. The winners will be announced and notified during the livestream.

“Lexington is honored to have all of the nominees as ambassadors for tourism and the hospitality we are most known for around the world,” shared Avery.

Those being recognized include Scott Howard and April Walters of the Hilton Lexington Downtown, Darius Shareef and Juan Niebuhr of the Lexington Marriott City Center, Amanda Siebert and Joe Keppler of the Embassy Suites Lexington Green, Matt Bledsoe from the Lexington Opera House, Shannon Elliott from the Central Bank Center, Laura Gonzalez from the Residence Inn Hamburg and Olivia Wooduff of Visit Horse Country.
