Bluegrass Fair organizers focusing on safety ahead of Thursday open
LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – As the Lexington Lions Club Bluegrass Fair gears up for its opening day Thursday, officials are placing a strong emphasis on safety and security measures.
Organizers have underscored that weapons of any kind will not be permitted at the fairgrounds. To enforce this policy, fair officials have arranged for metal detector searches and other security screenings upon entry. Additionally, both Lexington police officers and a private security team will be present to patrol the grounds throughout the duration of the event.
With safety being a top priority, fair officials are urging all attendees to enjoy themselves responsibly while staying vigilant and adhering to the guidelines in place.
The Bluegrass Fair kicks off Thursday at 5 PM at Masterson Station Park and will run until June 16th. General admission tickets are priced at eight dollars, while children aged six and under will receive complimentary entry.
