Bluegrass Crime Stoppers tip leads to arrest of burglary suspect

LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – A Bluegrass Crime Stoppers tip has led to the arrest of a Lexington man wanted in connection with an August burglary.

Police say 31-year-old Ra’Mone Burdette was taken into custody Tuesday after a caller submitted a tip to the Crime Stoppers line.

According to investigators, Burdette is accused of breaking into a home on Altamont Court on August 20 while armed with a gun. Crime Stoppers says he was featured as a wanted suspect on September 3.

In addition to burglary, Burdette is also charged with terroristic threatening, drug trafficking, and restricted ammunition use. Police say he also had outstanding warrants for assault, tampering with physical evidence, and leaving the scene of an accident.

Burdette is scheduled to be arraigned this afternoon at 1 p.m.
