Bluegrass Crime Stoppers searching for wanted men Jermaine Shanks and Tre’Chaun Johnson
LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – Bluegrass Crime Stoppers is asking for the public’s help in locating two wanted individuals connected to separate serious cases.
The first suspect is Jermaine Shanks, who has a warrant for assault 1st degree, wanton endangerment 1st degree, criminal mischief 1st degree, tampering with physical evidence, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
Officials say Shanks is connected to a shooting that happened last week near Winburn Middle School. A man was shot there on Thursday and remains in the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Shanks, 20, is described as 5 feet 6 inches tall, 110 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.
In an unrelated case, police are looking for Tre’Chaun Johnson, who has a warrant for rape 3rd degree, sodomy 3rd degree, sexual abuse 1st degree, and unlawful transaction with a minor 3rd degree.
Johnson, 30, is described as 6 feet 7 inches tall, 175 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.
Authorities say anyone with information about the whereabouts of either suspect may be eligible for a cash reward through Bluegrass Crime Stoppers for providing anonymous information.
