Blue Grass Energy sending crews & equipment to FL

NICHOLASVILLE, Ky. (WTVQ)- Blue Grass Energy says it’s sending eight linemen with heavy duty equipment to Florida.

The workers will help in repairing anticipated damage from Hurricane Matthew.

Blue Grass Energy says crews will be working for Clay Electric, which is an electric cooperative near Gainesville serving almost 170,000 customers.

Blue Grass Energy says counting tree trimming and contracted construction personnel, there are 50 of its workers heading south.
