Bill Duke honored with Hollywood Walk of Fame star on 83rd birthday
LOS ANGELES. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – Bill Duke received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame Thursday — and the ceremony doubled as a birthday celebration.
The actor and director was honored in the Motion Pictures category on his 83rd birthday, with the crowd serenading him during the event.
Duke is known for iconic performances in classic films including Car Wash, Predator, Commando and Black Lightning.
He has also directed landmark films such as Deep Cover, A Rage in Harlem and The Killing Floor.
Duke is widely regarded as a trailblazer in film and television, with a career spanning more than five decades.
