LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) — The newest distillery in the area Bespoken Spirits, celebrating its grand opening on Wednesday.

The $3.2 million investment also bringing new jobs to the area.
“So Bespoken, what’s unique about us is we’re not just a bourbon producer, whiskey producer, we’re a technology company,” said Peter Iglesias, the CEO of Bespoken Spirits.
The company who is originally from California is known for its approach at bourbon aging.
“What normally would take three years we can do in four days. Additionally, what we can do as well is we can take something that’s three years old and use our finishing process and make it taste like five or six years old,” also added Iglesias.
One of the main guests, popular rock band, Lynyrd Skynyrd, who performed a small concert at the event.
“We look forward to seeing all of our fans out there we love you guys are Skynyrd nation. And the show’s just the icing on the cake. Really,” says Johnny Van Zant, the singer of the band.
“So coming to Kentucky it’s better financially for us. We’re putting ourselves right in the middle of bourbon country, right. So if we’re ever going to get people to understand our technology, this is the best way to do it. And we don’t we’re not trying to change things we’re trying to add to it,” also said Iglesias.
