Beshear to select counties for postelection audit

FRANKFORT, Ky. (AP) – Attorney General Andy Beshear plans to select which counties will participate in a postelection audit.

The state attorney general is required by law to conduct the postelection investigation in no fewer than 5 percent of Kentucky’s counties following each primary and general election. Beshear has set the drawing for 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Capitol.

Kentucky’s primary election was held on May 17.

The audit is a search for any potential irregularities during the election.
