Beshear: Cynthia man charged with having explicit pictures of children
FRANKFORT, KY. (WTVQ) – Attorney General Andy Beshear says a Harrison County man has been charged with 20 counts of possession of matter portraying a sexual performance by a minor.
Beshear says 48-year-old Ricky Lyons, of Cynthiana was arrested July 9th.
Cyber investigators from Beshear’s office opened an investigation July 1, which resulted in the execution of a search warrant at Lyons’s residence and the locating of several computers containing graphic media files of children engaged in sexual acts.
Lyons was taken into custody without incident and is being held in the Bourbon County Jail. At this time, no bond or court date has been set.
Beshear said that Kentuckians have a moral and legal duty to report any instance of child abuse to local law enforcement or to Kentucky’s Child Abuse hotline at 877-597-2331 or 877-KYSAFE1.
