Bell County man charged with attempted murder of officers
FOURMILE, Ky. (WTVQ)- A Bell County man is charged with attempted murder after shooting at officers.
51 year-old Buford Warren was taken into custody Monday after firing a round from his shotgun at officers.
Bell County Sheriff’s Deputies and Pineville Police Officers were attempting to serve a search warrant at a home in the Fourmile community when Warren fired at them through a window.
A Bell County Deputy fired back at Warren, which made him surrender.
No one was injured by gunfire, but one Pineville Officer was treated for minor injuries from shattered glass from the broken window.
Warren is charged with five counts of attempted murder of a police officer, five counts of wanton endangerment on a police officer (1st degree), and one count of assault on a police officer (1st degree).
KSP is currently investigating the incident.
