Becoming the best version of yourself isn’t easy
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Isaiah Briscoe is becoming a better defender.
He wasn’t a defensive stopper by any means before making his way to Lexington.
But the hope is that’s now changing.
Briscoe was working so hard on both ends of the floor Tuesday night versus Duke in Chicago he started cramping from his feet to his…well, as he put it…it was a problem. We’ll leave it at that.
Briscoe, like the other freshmen, is learning the ropes and what it truly means to play at UK.
The expectations are higher than they were high school and playing hard just in games isn’t going to cut it.
As Coach Cal puts it, the Cats don’t even improve the most, and prepare themselves for the NBA the most, during games.
Of 30 regular season games, only 7 or 8, will be against a team with an NBA player statistically in Cal’s mind.
So when do the Cats need to be going full tilt in addition to games?
Hear from Cal in the video.
