Batman urges kids in Jessamine County to “not give their power away”
One man is using his costume to inspire kids across the country. John Buckland was once a firefighter. Now he’s Batman. He’s part of the group Heroes for Higher traveling across the country to inspire kids to do what is right, even when times are tough. Today he visited with kids in Nicholasville at the Jessamine County Library. The costume he says is just to get their attention. It’s the message he wants them to remember.
Batman, John Buckland, say, “The most important thing that we can teach these kids is not to give their power away to somebody else. There’s always going to be someone in life that doesn’t like us. So the very first thing that we got to teach ’em is look not everybody is going to like us, but we have to learn to say so what.”
Batman will be in Somerset next on May 28th. For more information, visit: https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=1176786405674922&id=100000307219542
