Bat Cats, UK Men’s Golf postseason play ends
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – The Bat Cats will not continue their season playing in the NCAA tournament.
Kentucky failed to make the NCAA regional round this year. That makes back-to-back misses on postseason play for UK.
Kentucky last made it to the NCAA regional round in 2014, and before that in 2012. The program has 8 all-time NCAA regional appearances., and no NCAA regional titles.
Not making the tourney also means UK won’t be able to improve on its 14-16 all-time NCAA tourney record.
Meanwhile, some good news for Solid Blue fans, as the UK Men’s Golf Team advanced to the final 15 in Eugene, Oregon, as one of six SEC teams to reach the mark.
But bad news was close to follow, as the Cats were unable to make the top 8 on Monday, finishing 13th and +37 – one shot ahead of Louisville.
