Bargain hunting lands sex offender behind bars

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Looking for a bargain landed a registered sex offender back behind bars in Lexington.

Court documents say 47-year-old James Winburn contacted a woman who put some items up for sale on a Facebook group.

The problem is Winburn failed to let authorities know he was online – a violation of his parole.

The woman also told police she was contacted by other members of the group and told not to let him come to her home because he was asking other women in the group to have sex with him.

Documents say Winburn also failed to register his address to authorities – another violation.

Winburn served time for sexually abusing someone under the age of 13.
