Bag Your Books To Benefit The International Book Project

You can get rid of old books that are cluttering your bookshelf and give them to people around the world who can’t afford books, and it’s as easy as filling up a bag.

The International Book Project’s "Bag Your Books" event is in full swing and continues until January 3.

You can pick up a donation bag from the following Lexington locations: Morris Book Shop, Wild Fig Bookstore, BabyCakes Cupcakes, North Lime Coffee & Donuts, Bank of the Bluegrass, and the International Book Project Office.

Once you have your bag, just fill it with your unwanted books and bring it back to any of the participating locations.

From there, your books will be sent to libraries and schools around the world to help fill their empty shelves.
