Baffert’s “other” horse: Solomini

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WTVQ) – There’s so much talk about Derby favorite Justify that here’s been almost no talk about trainer Bob Baffert’s other horse, Solomini.

Solomini is named after owner Ahmed Zayat’s grandson.

The long shot hasn’t won a race since breaking his maiden his first time out but he’s been in the money each time since; in the mix behind Magnum Moon, Bolt D’Oro and Good Magic.

He’s earned the nickname “Solo” for his, well, lack of listening.
