Bad batch of meth killing people in Lexington

LEXINGTON, Ky (WTVQ) – Officials are warning people about a bad batch of Meth. Trooper Robert Purdy tweeted a video Friday with some information that’s hard to hear. He says there have been five overdoses this week tied to Meth that’s possibly been laced with Fentanyl.

Two of those overdoses killed people, another person was luckier. Responders were able to revive him with Narcan.

“After he woke up, we asked him, we said when’s the last time you used heroin? He said, ‘Look, I don’t use heroin. I don’t like needles. All I did today was smoke some ice, I smoked some methamphetamine.'”

Trooper Purdy ends his video by encouraging people to make good choices.
