Baby and One Other Person Killed in Shelby County Car Crash
SHELBY COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ)-A baby and one other person are dead after a Saturday car crash in Shelby County. Kentucky State Police say 20-year-old Dennis Chapman from Ashland was driving south on KY 55 when he tried to make a left on to Old Brunerstown Road.
Kenneth Stewart, a 57-year-old from Finchville, was going north on 55 so he hit Chapman’s car on the passenger side. Then Chapman’s car went over an embankment. There were four people in that car. Champan and one other passenger were taken to the hospital in Louisville.
The coroner pronounced a third passenger dead at the scene and the baby was taken to a children’s hospital and pronounced dead there.
Stewart was taken to the hospital as well, but with minor injuries.
