Auto Preps & Holiday Travel – S & S Tires

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Plenty of people traveling to see family this Thanksgiving and throughout the holiday season.  Before you hit the road, Michael Plowman, from the Beaumont S & S tire at 3070 Fieldstone Way in Lexington has some suggestions for for making sure you get to where you’re going safely.

1. Check tire tread to make sure they have sufficient tread and no punctures
2. Tire inflation level check main tires & spare
3. Clear debris such as leaves, check windshield wiper blades/windshield fluid reservoir
4. Get an oil change, also check fluid levels
5. Have a battery check performed.
6. headlight check (normal-,high-beam) and brake lights

S&S Tire & Auto Service has three locations in Lexington and Nicholasville and provides tires and auto service. S&S Tire’s three locations are official collection stations for the U.S. Marine Corp. Reserve 63rd annual Toys for Tots drive. Oct. 30 – Dec. 12th. Between the hours of 8 a.m. – 6 p.m., the public is encouraged to make a donation by bringing a new, unwrapped toy. Customers bringing in a new toy of $10 or more will receive $10 off their purchase at S&S Tire.
