Auto Parts Store Robbed At Knifepoint
Two employees at an auto parts store in Lexington were robbed at knifepoint on Tuesday, according to police.
The robbery happened at Advance Auto Parts at 1317 Versailles Road just before 8:30 p.m.
Police said two men came into the store wearing ski masks. One of the suspects was carrying a knife and put it to the throat of one of the two employees working at the time.
The suspects told the other employee to empty out the cash register, according to police.
The suspects took off after getting the money.
Police said the suspects were seen jumping into a dark Chevy pickup and driving away from the scene.
The two employees at the store were not injured. There were no customers in the store during the robbery.
