CAMPTON, Ky. (AP) — Authorities have identified a Cincinnati man who died after falling from a cliff at Red River Gorge in eastern Kentucky.
Wolfe County Deputy Coroner Gary Sparks told The Kentucky Enquirer (http://cin.ci/1E2nkz6) that 36-year-old Jason M. Lazor died from blunt force trauma early Saturday after falling more than 200 feet. The newspaper reports Lazor was a senior marketing manager for Kroger.
Officials have said Lazor was on an annual camping trip with a group of friends when he lost his footing and fell into a crevice at Chimney Top Rock.
Wolfe County Search and Rescue training officer John May said Lazor’s friends told authorities that he climbed over a railing and disappeared in a crevice.
