Authorities: 1 person found dead in Glasgow apartment fire
GLASGOW, Ky. (AP) – Authorities say one person has been found dead in an apartment fire in Glasgow.
The Glasgow Fire Department said in a news release that the fire happened Saturday morning at the Stonehenge apartment complex.
Fire chief Tony Atwood says firefighters found smoke coming from the front of the apartment. He says a quick search was done and a victim was located who was later determined to be deceased.
Officials say the state fire marshal’s office is investigating the cause of the fire, but it’s not being treated as suspicious. The victim’s identity hasn’t been released.
No other injuries were reported.
