Attempted Robbery Near UK’s Campus

Two UK students told police a man with a gun tried to rob them inside their apartment early Tuesday morning.

Police responded to a report of an attempted robbery at the Red Mile Village apartments just after 1:00 a.m.

Police said one of the victims told them he was at his apartment when he suddenly saw a strange man standing inside, holding a gun.

The man told police the suspect pointed the gun at him and demanded cash and property.

That’s when the victim said he ran into his bedroom and his roommate chased the suspect out of the apartment.

Police said nothing was taken from the residence and no one was hurt.
