At least one dead in Perry County plane crash
HAZARD, Ky. (WTVQ) – State Police say at least one person was killed when a small plane crashed in Perry County around 7:00 p.m. Thursday. The victim’s name hasn’t been released and there hasn’t been a positive identification of the plane because it was so badly damaged in the crash, according to State Police.
Investigators say the plane went down near Highway 2446, also known as Lost Creek Road, not far from the Wendell Ford Airport. Representatives from the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) and Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) are expected at the crash site on Friday, according to State Police.
