Asphalt operations for Fayette County continue this week
LEXINGTON, Ky. (RELEASE) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) advises motorists of continued asphalt operations. Strip patching work (a mobile operation) remains in effect for routes in Fayette County. Milling and paving assists with repairing damaged asphalt.
Tates Creek Road/KY 1974
Monday, October 11 and Tuesday, October 12 – 7 a.m. until 5 p.m.
Note: alternating lane closures will be in place – motorists will be able to pass through the work zone
- Delong Road (milepoint 4.228) to Ashgrove Road/KY 1980 (milepoint 5.453)
Versailles Road/US 60
Wednesday, October 13 through Thursday, October 14 – 7 p.m. Wednesday until 7 a.m. Thursday
Note: alternating lane closures will be in place – motorists will be able to pass through the work zone
- Wellesley Heights Way (milepoint 4.093) to the New Circle Road/KY 4 Underpass (milepoint 4.679)
Versailles Road/US 60 Ramps
Wednesday, October 13 through Thursday, October 14 – 9 p.m. Wednesday until 6 a.m. Thursday
Note: the ramps are located at approximate milepoint 4.60, temporary closures will be in place — one ramp at a time will be addressed
- Versailles Road/US 60 Fly Over Ramp – this location is Inbound Versailles Road/US 60 to the New Circle Road/KY 4 Inner Loop
- Exit 5A – this location is the New Circle Road/KY 4 Outer Loop to Inbound Versailles Road/US 60
- Exit 5B – this location is the New Circle Road/KY 4 Inner Loop to Outbound Versailles Road/US 60
Motorists should expect delays and utilize alternate routes if possible.
