Arts and Crafts Festival set for May 26-27

CALVERT CITY, Ky. (WTVQ)- You’ll have the chance to peruse through arts and crafts Memorial Day weekend during a festival at Kentucky Lake featuring Kentucky artists.

There will be a wide range of artists; woodcarvers, quilters, jewelry-makers, potters, blacksmiths, painters and many other craft people.

The annual Arts and Crafts Festival will be held on  Saturday and Sunday May 26-27 at Kentucky Dam Village State Resort Park.

A Chautauqua program has been added this year and is sponsored by the Kentucky Humanities Council.

It will featured Rachel Lee Rogers as Jean Ritchie, who became famous playing the dulcimer.

The festival is free and open to the public from 9 AM until 4 PM at the “Old Beach” near the Conference Center.

Food concessions will be available for purchase.

Kentucky Dam Village State Resort Park has a lodge, cottages, restaurant, marina, golf course and other recreational activities.

The park is also one of the nine stops on the Kentucky State Park Culinary Trail.
