Arson K-9 unit tracks down source of Knox Co. fire

FRANKFORT, Ky. (WTVQ) – The Division of Forestry says they know the cause of a wildfire in Knox Co., thanks to a wildfire arson dog.

A fire crew says after a fire started near a fence, the K-9 unit tracked it to a man in a truck who admitted setting the fire, while trying to burn out a fence row.

The Division of Forestry did not issue a citation, but says the man will have to pay for the cost of controlling the fire.
