Arrest made in weekend shooting in Lexington

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Police arrest a man after a weekend shooting in Lexington.

They said that arrest came after a call about shots fired in the area of Hummingbird Lane and Jacana Drive on Saturday at around 6:45 p.m.

As they were searching the area, officers received a call about a 38-year-old man who was dropped off at the hospital, suffering from a gunshot wound

Police said, during the course of the investigation, they discovered 44-year-old Cody Dunn and the victim were arguing in the backyard of a home on Jacana Drive when Dunn shot the man.

Dunn is charged with assault and criminal trespassing.
