Arrest made in Lawrence County theft investigation

ASHLAND, Ky. (WTVQ) – State police accuse the acting chief of Fallsburg fire department, William Hall with using department funds for his own benefit.

State police say between March 2016 and May 2017, Hall removed more than five-thousand dollars from the Fallsburg fire department account.

Hall was arrested by the Lawrence County sheriff’s office.

Hall is charged with theft by failure to make required disposition of property less than $500 and abuse of public trust greater than $10,000.

The investigation continues.
