Arrest made in Wisconsin after body found in Kentucky
PRESCOTT, Wis. (AP) – Police in northwestern Wisconsin say a person of interest is being held in the death of a man whose body was found in a box along a road in southern Kentucky.
Authorities say the body found in Bell County has been identified as 51-year-old Douglas Bailey of Prescott, Wisconsin. Bailey was reported missing in Illinois on Nov. 30.
Police in Kentucky say Bailey’s body was found in one of two large boxes on an embankment in an industrial area in Hazard. Bailey was a truck driver whose sister reported him missing after he failed to show up for a family Thanksgiving dinner in in Peoria, Illinois.
The Peoria County Sheriff’s Office says Bailey was killed in Prescott and his body transported to Kentucky.
