Arrest Made In Lexington Shooting

A man has been arrested, accused of shooting the mother of his child in Lexington.

Frederick Morgan, 29, is accused of shooting the woman on September 8.

Police said Morgan pulled up to a car as the woman was getting in and fired shots into the driver’s side of the vehicle.

The woman was shot in the stomach. The driver wasn’t hit.

Police said the victim had placed her and Morgan’s five-year-old child in the back seat of the car just before the shooting.

The child was not hurt.
