Arrest made in case of man found ablaze in Louisville

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) — Metro Louisville police have made an arrest in connection to a man found ablaze on a sidewalk west of downtown.

Media report 30-year-old Brandon Oldham was taken into custody Wednesday and charged with murder in the death of 49-year-old Edward Vinson.

The Jefferson County coroner’s office said Vinson suffered multiple blunt-force trauma before being set on fire and died Sunday of that trauma as well as from thermal trauma from the flames.

It wasn’t immediately clear whether Oldham has an attorney. An arraignment was set for Thursday.
